Painting can be first thing a
child draws when in possession of a pencil. Yes it may not be an official
painting but drawing is beginning of learning. We all begin by drawing
unsymmetrical lines, distorted figures and unidentified objects. We find
immense pleasure in drawing those images. Many will think of this activity as
wastage of stationeries like pencil and paper. But we suggest that you should
observe a child while drawing. The illumination of joy and deep connection with
art can be seen on the facial expression of the child. The expression on the
face of the child is rather priceless. No other things can provide such bliss
to a child.
But art can be taken as a serious
profession. Many have made their name and money in the trade of art. But like
every other profession art should be learnt from dignified teachers. Like
painter and designer Richard Lin
went to Regent St Polytechnic to study architecture. Later he marveled in the
career of minimalist style. His works are renowned for using plastic and metal.
Artist Ben Nicholson also got
trained in art form in the Slade School of Fine Arts. In that school he met
many contemporary artists and shared ideas with them. The company and
environment that he received during his education helped him in creating many
famous paintings. A Ben Nicholson drawing was named ‘Fiddle and Spanish Guitar’, in oil and gravel on
Masonite was sold for a hefty amount.
There are so many examples to be
found about the benefits of learning painting from professionals. Learning will
give you the knowledge, the understanding and technical support. A proper
degree will help you gain a foothold in the industry. The education of art will
provide your painting a cutting edge that will make you stand out in the crowd.
